How did Pixar start?

Pixar first started in 1979 as part of the Lucasfilm computer division, known as the Graphics Group before it became the Pixar we know today. Some of the founding fathers of Pixar was John Lasseter, Edwin Catmull, and Alvy Ray and Alexander Schure. It all started from Alexander wanting to make the worlds first fully Computer Animated film.
